A Little About Me...
I was born and grew up in the town of Barnstaple on the picturesque North Devon Coastline, in the South West of England.
I studied at Bideford Art College, leaving to work in retail before getting married and bringing up my family. While looking after my family when they were young I undertook private commissions from portraits, animals, landscapes to transportation.
With my family all grown up and having flown the nest, I now have time to return to my paintings full time which are now displayed here on the Gallery Pages and around North Devon for all to see. I am an active member of The Pilton Arts Group and I hope you find my unusual style interesting and pleasurable.
The era's which I enjoy and gain inspiration from are the late Art Neavou and Art Deco periods which include interior design, portraiture and transport. The artists of the period who I enjoy are: Tamara De Lempicka who was an Art Deco icon along with Erte and Barbier, examples of which you can see below.
